Deputy president Rigathi Gachagua has been sued for defamation over his remarks and accusations against the director of National Intelligence Service Noordin Haji. The petitioner in his suit is seeking to have the court issue orders to have the second in command investigated by the National Cohesion and Integration Commission and the Ethics and the Anti Corruption commission. This also comes amid a protests by a section of coastal leaders who are defending the NIS boss, as Muslim clerics call on the deputy president to resign.
