I recently upgraded from two lead-acid batteries to two LiFePO4 batteries and wanted to safely secure the batteries in a locked box to prevent theft. I chose a 30" aluminum truck box to attach to the trailer tongue in place of the battery boxes that were there. In this video I show you how I modified this box to hold batteries and how I secured the box to the trailer tongue.

*UPDATE* I added some weatherstripping to the underside of the lid where it meets the edge of the box. This prevents water from entering the box when spraying up from the road and it eliminates any rattling noise that might be made from the lid vibrating against the box.
