Shooting a USPSA match with an untested Glock (it didn't go well)

After my friend borrowed my Glock 34 and didn't return it in time, I was forced to use my untested Glock 17 at a USPSA match last weekend. I had only fired 20 rounds through the pistol and hadn't even zeroed it properly. As expected, the experience was less than ideal, especially with the C&H Precision Comp optic. I'm accustomed to using a Holosun 507c, which is significantly brighter. The C&H dot was difficult to see, even on a relatively sunny day.

During stage 2, the dot on my Glock malfunctioned (the battery door came loose), forcing me to switch to my backup Sig P320. However, I found the Sig's long reset to be frustrating, so I switched back to the Glock for stages 3 and 4. While those stages went better, my day was already ruined by the initial struggles. Hopefully I'll get my G34 back in time for the years last matches!
