Maya Vishwakarma, a woman from a small village of Narsinghpur district of Madhya Pradesh has made her way to become 'Pad Woman of India'. And now this pad woman is supporting Farmers Protest in India from California. She uploaded a video addressing people in California about Farmers protest.

Maya was born and brought in Mehragaon village of MP. Her father was a blacksmith and her mother apart from managing households, used to take care of fields and crops. Being the only sister among three brothers, Maya was never held back from education. Her family supported her throughout her every decision regarding education. She made a lot of efforts and moved places to places, cities to cities and finally to America for doing research work.

After she returned back to India, she acknowledged that women of her village lack knowledge regarding hygiene in Menstruation. She decided to bring a change. she travelled to Coimbatore to meet Arunachalam Muruganantham, the real pad man of India. There, she learnt about the pad making machines. she came back to her village and with the help of Sukarma Foundation, made Pads that can be available to every woman of her village. she did as many camps regarding the same.
