इन्द्रजात्रा।।। Indrjatra also known as Yenya Punhi is the biggest religious street festival in kathmandu. It one of the most exciting and revered festival of the Newar community of the kathmandu valley.The festival is celebrated by worshiping indra, revered as the god of rain and good times. It is celebrated for eight days and marks the beginning of a monthlong festival season of autumn. During this time the streets of kathmandu are full of devotees who perform dances, sing songs and play various musical instruments like drums and flutes.
