A film portrait of the leprosy doctor and nun Dr. Ruth Pfau, born in Leipzig in 1929, who has been working in Pakistan for more than 50 years.

The film, shot in Pakistan in 1989, was taken over by SWF in 1990. This online presentation is now also available in the now standard HD format 16:9: see    • Ohne Heimat, aber geborgen - Mit Ruth...  . It serves - like the duplication on videocassettes at that time - as a non-commercial screening for the benefit of the work of Dr. Pfau in Pakistan and the charitable DAHW (Deutsches Aussätzigen-Hilfswerk / German Leprosy and Tuberculosis Relief Association) supporting her, as well as the Ruth Pfau Foundation.

I am very happy to have been able to support both DAHW in my function as a member of the supporting association and the Ruth Pfau Foundation as a member of the foundation board for years.
