Permanent infrastructure solutions officially commenced on the Manzanilla Mayaro Road!

Minister of Works and Transport, Rohan Sinanan, was on site for the kick-off of this project on the 28th of July, 2023.

The Ministry is excited about this project which will bring relief and several benefits to the community's residents, business owners and commuters.
The project entails the reconstruction of the collapsed road spanning approximately 1.6km within the 5km segment of the roadway along the Manzanilla Mayaro Road.

It also takes into consideration environmental factors within the Manzanilla area and will include:

Raising of the existing roadway,
Installation of culverts at strategic locations,
Installation of flap gates, and
Improved drainage, just to mention a few.
