Ka Pae Ranasingam is a 2020 Tamil-language political drama film written and directed by P. Virumaandi. The film stars Vijay Sethupathi and Aishwarya Rajesh in pivotal roles. Based on true events, the story primarily revolves around Ariyanachi (Aishwarya Rajesh), but the soul of the film is deeply connected to Ranasingam (Vijay Sethupathi).

The story begins with a celebration for Ariyanachi’s daughter’s ear-piercing ceremony, where the entire family is filled with joy. However, the festive atmosphere quickly turns somber when the police inform Ranasingam’s younger sister, Mai, that her brother has died in Dubai during a protest. Ariyanachi is devastated by the news of her revolutionary husband Ranasingam’s death, and the film transitions into a flashback.

The flashback reveals how Ariyanachi first saw Ranasingam amidst a crowd. Her father had hired him to predict the presence of water on their land. Initially, Ariyanachi doubts him, suspecting Ranasingam of being a fraud trying to deceive her family. However, when water is indeed found at the predicted spot, she starts admiring his talent and social service. Eventually, love blossoms between Ranasingam and Ariyanachi, leading to their marriage.

का पे रणसिंगम' साल 2020 में रिलीज हुई, तमिल भाषा की पोलिटिकल ड्रामा फिल्म है, इसे पी. विरुमांडी ने लिखा और डायरेक्ट किया है। फिल्म में विजय सेतुपति और ऐश्वर्या राजेश की अहम भूमिका हैं। यह फिल्म सच्ची घटनाओं पर आधारित है। फिल्म की पूरी कहानी अरियानाची (ऐश्वर्या राजेश) के इर्द-गिर्द घूमती है, लेकिन फिल्म की आत्मा रणसिंगम (विजय सेतुपति) से जुड़ी है।

कहानी की शुरुआत अरियानाची की बेटी के कान छिदवाने के उत्सव से होता है, जहां पुरा परिवार खुशियां मना रहा था अचानक आई एक खबर से खुशियों का माहौल मातम में बदल जाता है। जब पुलिस रणसिंगम की छोटी बहन माई को बताते हैं कि उसका भाई दुबई में एक विरोध प्रदर्शन के दौरान मृत्यु हो गई। अरियानाची अपने क्रांतिकारी पति रणसिंगम की मरने की खबर सुन एकदम से शॉक हो जाती है...और फिल्म फ्लैशबैक में चली जाती है। जब अरियानाची पहली बार रणसिंगम लोगों के भीड़ में देखती है...जिसे अरियानाची के पिता
ने अपनी ज़मीन पर पानी की भविष्यवाणी करने के लिए रणसिंगम को काम पर रखा था। अरियानाची को उस पर विश्वास नहीं होता क्योंकि वह सोचती है रणसिंगम एक धोखेबाज है, जो उसके परिवार को लूट रहा है। एक दिन जब रणसिंगम के बता गए जगह से पानी खोजने की बात सही हुई, तो उसके इस प्रतिभा और सामाजिक सेवा पर उसका दिल आ गया है। फिर क्या रणसिंगम और अरियानाची के बीच प्यार हुआ और उन्होंने शादी कर ली।

कहानी में असली मोड़ तब आता है जब फ्लैस से कहानी वर्तमान में आती है और वह अपने पति के मृत शव को दुबई से भारत वापस लाने की कोशिश करती है, और पोलिटिकल एजेंडे, भ्रष्टाचार और विश्वासघाती नौकरशाही की बाधाओं से जूझती है जो उसके रास्ते में आड़े आते हैं। इन भ्रष्टाचारों से कैसे अरियानाची लड़ती है और अन्याय के खिलाफ अपनी आवाज उठाती है, ये देखिये फिल्म में –
