Cheesequake State Park is located an hour from New York City and 25 minutes from the New Jersey Shore. It has five hiking trails that range from 3 to 3/4 mile loops and are marked red, blue, green, yellow and white. The landscape ranges from salt marsh, cedar swamp to forest and fields. The park has a family camping area as well as group camping with restrooms and hot showers.
