We take advantage of our Route 18 of the Magical Towns of Spain to approach the BOROSA River Trail in the Sierras de Cazorla, Segura and Las Villas Natural Park.

We begin the day from the Borosa River Visitor Center where there is a Fish Farm that we quickly surround to join the path that accompanies the Borosa upstream.
The initial kilometers of the path pass along a comfortable and wide dirt track that will allow us to advance quickly and enjoy the flow of the river between several bridges dotted with spectacular orographic folds.
After about 4 kilometers the trail ends next to the river between the walls of a gorge chiseled by the force of the water. It is the Cerrada de ElĂas, whose transit uses cantilevered walkways to be able to overcome some sections, thereby allowing you to feel all the liveliness of the Borosa up close.
Next we will progress through the Cerrada del Puente de la Piedra until we reach the Salto de los Órganos Power Plant, built in the 1930s to supply energy to different towns in the region.
This complex marks the beginning of the hardest interval of the stage, with paved and stepped surfaces whose effort to overcome will be rewarded with a succession of waterfalls such as La Parpaya, Tres Colas la Calavera, until reaching the “mother” of them all, The Jump of the Organs.
After contemplating these natural whims in amazement, we made a short but hard climb until we entered the interior of the PicĂłn del Haza mountain, which has tunnels through which water pipelines run that descend to the Hydroelectric Power Plant.
These pipelines start from the Órganos Reservoir and Dam, infrastructures that we will reach later. Very close to them we can visit the source of the Borosa River and the quiet Valdeazores Lagoon, the end of the route.
