In this video we'll walk along Torre Del Mar beach as well as take a walk into the town to check out why this place is such a popular holiday destination for travel and tourism and holidaymakers coming to the costa del sol here in Spain.

Compared to much of the Costa del Sol, it has managed to retain a great deal of its authentic Spanish atmosphere, despite an increase in tourism. A long promenade along the water has clubs, excellent seafood restaurants, cafes and more, and the wide sandy beach is superb.

The town is a magnet for tourists, mainly Spanish, who come to enjoy the perfect all-year-round warm climate, kilometres of clean sandy beaches and upbeat atmosphere. There is a wonderful promenade that extends all the way to the marina at Caleta de Velez. supermarkets, restaurants, bars, discos, and much more.

Torre del Mar is one of the main tourist resorts east of Malaga on the Costa del Sol. Located about half way between Malaga and Nerja. The resort of Torre del Mar is the beach resort of the inland town and part of the municipal district of Vélez-Málaga, capital of the Axarquia region.

The promenade proper extends from the west end of "Torre del Mar" to the Marina at "Caleta de Velez". It is slightly over 4 Km, long. However the beach itself extends beyond the west end of the city and to the east after the marina.

It is the second largest village in Vélez-Málaga according to the number of people, and it is an important tourist destination.

Torre del Mar is characterised by the quality of the environment and its spectacular vast beaches, as well as its seafront promenade, which is a meeting point for many visitors and people from the village.

Currently, Torre del Mar is a tourist destination for shopping and entertainment, with a gastronomic speciality – “pescaíto” (fried fish).
