There are many ways to go from Hyderabad to Udupi , but before leaving, we did a lot of research and finally we divided this journey into several parts.

We took the most beautiful & scenic route to Udupi and the credit goes to Mr. Kanhiya Lal who did a lot of research on this route before starting the trip.

We left Hyderabad at 2 pm.
We took National Highway 44, a very nice route from Hyderabad to Anantapur. On the way there were many dhabas and restaurants to eat and drink, after Anantapur there was the village road which was very narrow and bad, the road to the village was limited to a long distance, in many places there were even deserted forest roads, If you are a video and photography lover then you must try this trip once.
The road is very beautiful, ripe with natural beauty.

After Anantapur, many windmills are seen nearby and this view is very amazing, very beautiful view which everyone would like to see.

After Anantapur, the condition of the road was either very bad or a little bad somewhere.
When you are on a road trip, the road will be good everywhere, don't expect so much.😄

We had reached Shivamoga around 4 o'clock evening , after reaching there we took a budget hotel,

Hotel Name - Shree Anjaneya Residency with Restaurant

In Shivamoga we had dinner at Clerk Inn which was a short distance from the hotel, you can search on google map,
On the second day we started the journey at morning 7 am which was 150 kms from Shivamoga.
There were 14 hairpin bends at Agumbe Ghat
It took us about 30 minutes to cross the ghat road .

Agumbe Ghat is one of the most beautiful Ghats in the Western Ghats
Very few people would know
The upcoming TV serial which was very famous in the 90s century was Malgudi Days…
Malgudi Days was shot at Agumbe Ghat itself.


As soon as the Ghat road ended, we stopped at Shomeswar for breakfast. After reaching Shomeshwar, we had breakfast at Hotel Brindavana , the breakfast here was very tasty, if you come here then definitely try it, the pooris were very tasty, this is my own experience.
And at 12 noon we reached the hotel.

After stopping Shivamoga, do the rest of the journey in the morning itself, avoid night driving after Shivamoga

After Shivamogga, the journey of Ghat road starts.
