City of Port Phillip partnered with Victoria Police and MARS Gallery to present a street art work on the back of the Victoria Police wall in St Kilda to counter the illegal tagging in the City. Vexta’s panting represents expression of femininity and freedom and the way we relate to the idea of freedom. The commission was part of the newly formed Street Art program to help reduce illegal tagging in the City.

Vexta is an Australian-born artist who is based in Brooklyn, New York, who is internationally renowned for her feminine iconography. Her neon strokes have been seen in Mexico, the USA, Italy, Britain and France.
