The domestically produced large-scale 'H3 Rocket No. 3' was launched from the Tanegashima Space Center in Kagoshima Prefecture on July 1st, 2024. The rocket carries the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA)'s advanced radar satellite 'Daichi-4' (ALOS-4). As the successor to 'Daichi-2', launched in 2014, it is equipped with a radar incorporating new technology, which will be used to understand crustal movements, changes in the Earth's environment, and the extent of damage during disasters.
