Recipe for a 3 liter pot:
- 3 medium potatoes
- water 1.5 l (at the end add a little more until the pan is full)
- onion 1pc
- 1 carrot
- salted (or lightly salted, or pickled) cucumbers 2 pieces of medium size or 4 pieces of small ones
- Krakow sausage 300g
- salt 1 tsp with a slide
- vegetable oil for frying 3 tbsp.
- sour cream 150-200g.
- tomato paste 4 tbsp.
- black olives 50-70g
- spices: black peppercorns and allspice, ground black pepper, bay leaf
- greens (onion, dill, parsley)
- when serving, add to taste: sour cream, capers, a slice of lemon, herbs

Cooking hodgepodge in a 3 liter saucepan. 3 potatoes (medium size) cut into small cubes. Pour half the water into the pan, that is, 1.5 liters, pour in the potatoes and put on high heat until boiling. I cut one medium onion into a small cube, pour it into a frying pan, but do not put it on fire yet. I rub one carrot on a coarse grater. Pickled cucumbers 4pcs small (or 2pcs medium) cut into small cubes. When the potatoes boil in the pan, remove the noise and reduce the heat to low. Cracow sausage 300g peeled and cut into small cubes. Add 1 tsp salt to the potatoes in a saucepan. with a hill. Let's start roasting. We pass the onion in vegetable oil, then add the carrots, fry a little, then add the sausage, also fry and at the end add the cucumbers and fry for another 1-2 minutes. Add 150-200g sour cream and 4 tbsp tomato paste. Mix well and pour the whole mixture into a pot with potatoes. Cut black olives 50-70g into circles and pour into a saucepan. Add spices: black peppercorns and allspice, ground black pepper, bay leaf and herbs. I added frozen parsley, you can add everything - green onions, dill, parsley. Add boiling water until the saucepan is full. Stir, bring to a boil, remove the noise again. And you can turn it off - everything is ready. In 30 minutes the hodgepodge is ready. When serving, I add sour cream, you can also add capers, a slice of lemon and sprinkle with fresh herbs.
