10 things that have made me a better editor:
Use Davinci
Have a template folder structure that’s the same for every project
Use multiple timelines. Scenes, interviews, broll, etc.
Don’t fall in love with the footage. Make it shorter.
Feeling stuck? Color grade your footage, walk away, watch something inspiring
Stop buying luts and just learn how to grade
Watch other amazing edits and try to emulate
Don’t overdo effects
Don’t try to be a quicker editor. Just edit more and you’ll get quicker.
Obsess with pacing and learn to feel your edit. You know when something just feels off but you can’t place it? It’s usually pacing.

Let's work together.
