Make Your Own Aftershave - Tutorial

Ingredients used:

Glycerin - 10ml
Acts as a moisturiser and helps ingredients dissolve easier.

Witch Hazel - 25ml
Witch hazel acts as an astringent to help shrink your pores, tighten and soothe your skin and reduce inflammation.

Vodka - 50ml
Alcohol also acts as an astringent and can help reduce infection.
Rubbing alcohol or perfumers alcohol can be used instead.
1/2oz

To create a good body you need to select base, mid and high notes.

Base Note - Sandalwood Oil - 9 drops
Base notes last the longest.

Mid Note - Lavender Oil - 6 drops

And also another Mid Note - Tea Tree Oil - 3 drops

High Notes - Spearmint - 6 drops
High notes evaporate first.

Use glass containers to make the fragrance and only use glass containers to store the fragrance - Preferably Blue or Green storage bottles as they give better UV protection.

You can use the mixture straight away but for best results allow mixture to fuse for 3-4 weeks.

In addition
Vanilla - Base Note
Make your own vanilla oil by placing a pod in a glass bottle filled with vodka, leave for a couple of months, until fused. (you will see the colour change)
This technique can also be used with Anise or pretty much any plant
