Tips on painting a portrait with oil pastels ⬇️ say YES for our free mediums guide:
-Work from dark to light
-Let the oil pastel layers dry in between
-If it gets too think you can always scrape it away
-Work in your mid tones and highlights
-Adding extra highlights at the end
-We actually love to highlight in yellow not white, white can grey down and make the highlight look flatter.
Come in with your coloured pencils to refine your lines and edges.
