To get started, open the Petrifilm Plate package, remove a plate, and dispense the sample onto the center of the plate. Use the Petrfilm Plate spreader to ensure uniform coverage of the sample. Next, place the Petrifilm Plates in an incubator. After incubation, begin counting colonies manually or with the Petrfilm Plate Reader Advanced.
