"Fred L. Clinard was born in Nashville, Tennessee and graduated from McGavock High School in that city. He recieved the BS in Music Education from Tennessee Tech University, where he studied composition with Robert Jager.Mr. Clinard is a member of Phi Mu Alpha, MENC, and T.U.B.A.

He is presently Assisstent to the Director of Bands at Ft. Lauderdale High School, Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, where he also resides."
