First game of the Metro League season. We (Garfield) were coming off a 4 game losing streak after losing to Rainier Beach, then going to the Las Vegas Invitational and losing 3 straight games!
This is a short clip of the first qtr. My first two attempts to load this failed, and it took over an hour to load. However, I will try to get the rest of this game on and the subsequent four other games that were orignially on the tape.
Not going to be able to remember all the names and numbers in this game but here goes. Garfield (in the purple and white) #22 Tony Harris (R.I.P.), #11 Jeff "Deva" Staton, #20 DeMario Hall, #33 Pepper Day, Eric Bird, Rahsaan Shareef, Bryant Boston, Peter duncan, Bernard Taylor, Ross Flowers, Ernest Walker, Fred Hardwell, Tom Mekuria...and I'm #40. As you might see, I had the green light "inside of the 3 pt line"! LOL.
