This test was shot just after sunset. The first 2 shots are at 6db gain and are untouched. It got dark quickly, so all of the other shots are at either 18db gain up to 22db gain. All of those shots went thru noise reduction in post because the camera is noisy at 18db and up. Anything under 18db is probably usable, but seems like 12db is the cutoff for clean images.

The second to last shot is to show how far I was, and just how much range the lens has. It was shot in 4K and some shots like close ups of boats are with clear image zoom. One thing I noticed is that this camera at full 1.5x clear image zoom in 4K is much sharper than the FX6 with clear image zoom 1.5x. It also transitions smoothly in and out of clear image zoom without the weird jump.

So far I'm impressed, I didn't expect it to perform well in low light, but as you can see, even with a noise reduction pass it remains sharp and doesn't get muddy. Also, if you're familiar with the FX6/9 menus, you will feel right at home. It took me seconds to set it up because its is almost identical to the FX6 menu.
