With the MV Loch Frisa being purchased by CMAL to operate the second boat sailings to Mull in place of the MV Coruisk, allowing her to move back up to the Mallaig to Armadale sailings, a lengthy period of modifications took place at Leith for the former Norwegian car ferry to make her suitable for the Mull run.

After a few months of work on the 24th of May 2022 the MV Loch Frisa left Leith on trials before finally on the 29th of May 2022 set off for Mull. With overnight stopping points of Montrose, Scrabster and Kyle of Lochalsh eventually on the 1st of June 2022 she arrived at Mull and this is her first arrival at her new home.
