My favourite Fingerstyle Guitar ways to play (when on my own) are here!

At 0:16 We've got the elusive, famous and awesome SALSA! Combining Montuno (usually played by tres or piano) and the tumbao (from bass) TOGETHER on one guitar 😉 There's also a quick example of how you can improvise while keeping the bass going.. very importante in salsa and cuban music.

Then at 1:58 we've got the mesmerizing BACHATA also showing the bass independent and other little elements of the song.

Then at 2:47 I play the beautiful, romantic BOLERO.
At 3:26 the energetic and cool CUMBIA!

After that the fun MERENGUE (4:04) and then a couple more rhythms.

The idea is to try and combine the bass, some melodies and the rhythm all at one time. Let me know what you think.

I left out some other popular fingerstyle guitar patterns such as Bossanova or even Tango or spanish guitar melodies so we could look at other music that can be played on a standard guitar. I love the above-mentioned rhythms so I may do some tutorials on that and also will be making individual videos on each of these rhythms or ways to play so please SUBSCRIBE!

Special thanks to my Aussie Family for their patience and help and to my beautiful fiancé for her support. Big Hello also to my overseas family for their support and my Dad for starting this musical journey decades and decades ago. Un Abrazo!
