The concept of Hanif in the Quran has long been a subject of scholarly debate and analysis. While some scholars view Hanif as an exclusively Islamic concept, others see it as part of a broader religious and cultural milieu. Hanif as a term is used in the Quran to describe individuals who have rejected polytheism and embraced monotheism, but who are not necessarily Muslim. This video provides several well-established theories about this enigmatic term, and connects the concept with a Manichean tradition.
