Eastleigh Lakeside Railway held the annual end of season gala with a special engine returning to steam. Having a theme of the long closed Surrey Border & Camberley Railway postponed and then coming up with a new theme within 4 weeks.

Bullock 1000 class 4-6-2 no.1003 Western Queen returns to service after 40+ years running with 6 other locos. Two visitors was Stapleford Miniature Railway's Atlantic No.751 John H. Gretton & Spencer Steam Services's L&MR Lion with SR Merchant Navy no.35004 Cunard White Star, GCR Class 8 no.181, two 7 1/4 gauge Romulus' 0-4-0 Sanjo & ELR Atlantic no.4789 William Baker plus two diesel & electric D2000 Thunderbolt & No.92 Florence.

In this video we shall see the relaunching and naming of no.1003 Western Queen following its first passenger running and the main gala itself.
