The wall was built to stop the ruin of the GDR but at the same time stars the sale of the wall. The bulding cost billions of Mark but brings on the other hand foreign currency by selling the permeability of it. This helps the economic situation of the GDR. On the 9th of November 1989 the wall is gone, it is the end of the GDR for their is nothing to get a loan for any more. The reunification is the only value left to be sold to West-Germany.
