This was an amazing catch start to finish! My 7th Striped Bass from SoCal saltwater, and hopefully more to come soon! I will attempt to target these guys during the day to hopefully get some better footage.

Striped Bass are not common in this area. The only places I know where they are caught anywhere remotely close to here(Long Beach) are in fresh water lakes and resevoirs. Otherwise, there is a population that travels through the California Aquaduct system. The common place to see Stripers in salt water is Northern California, Bay Area.

These fish are absolutely excellent fighters and a thrill to catch. This one measured nearly two feet and weighed just under 9 pounds.
