Which Dice System Is Better? [D100 & Dice Pool]
In our second part of the series on the 4 major dice systems for gaming, Matt and Justin discuss d100 and dice pool systems and their pros and cons. Systems that use the d100 systems tend to be skill based, akin to the d6 system in our last video (see link below) and don't have a "leveling up" mechanic, it is more of a "add more to your skills" sort of system. Dice systems come in all kinds, but Justin really enjoys the d100 for its simplicity in design and usually only requires two dice. The dice pool system has a lot going for it as well. It's established that Matt likes the White Wolf system and the fact that the dice pool system it uses helps with story telling as well as simple success vs failure mechanics. The dice pool system allows a gamer to roll a large amount of dice, and that really excites a lot of players.
