We spent three days on Pangkor Island. This island is located off the west coast of Peninsular Malaysia. It's only 3 hours by car from Kuala Lumpur to the Lumut Jetty. From here you take a 30 minute ferry to the island. There are stunning beaches on Pangkor Island and it has some beautiful forests.

There are hornbills flying all around, the seafood is delicious and the people are friendly. However, the island feels like it had it's prime 20 years ago. A lot of buildings were abandoned, accommodations seemed outdated and there wasn't much excitement when we were there.

It's a great place to relax and get away from the big city, if you're into nature and beaches without any nightlife available.
