The Railway Touring Company ran the Devonian on the 28th May 2007. The train was worked by 71000 Duke of Gloucester from Bristol to Plymouth and return. The train had strted at London Paddington and was diesel hauled from and back to Paddington.
The run proved to be exceptional, with records for steam over the Devon banks. Whiteball summit was passed at 70 mph!!
Locations include Marlands, on the climb to Whiteball Tunnel,Dainton,Hemerdon and Burlescombe.
