Anna Sebastian Perayil, was working for EY at their Pune office and had joined the workforce on March 18. She died due to cardiac arrest in July. Her mother, in a letter to the EY Chairman expressed about the horrors of working for a 'toxic workplace', that was the reason for her daughter's death. In her heartbreaking letter, she also claimed that no one from EY attended the funeral.

EY response on her death has invited severe criticism on social media. The incident highlights the dangers of workplace culture in india, especially among the top companies.
