Save Cash with DIY knit Pumpkins. It's Fall and I'm ready for PUMPKINS! I have a bunch of creative fall decorating videos ready to record. Materials & Tools:
#4 Worsted Weight Yarn (any colors!)
Polyfill/toy stuffing
Small sticks or squares of felt
Tacky Glue / thick white glue dries clear

22-needle circular knitting machine or hand-knitting loom
4-5mm crochet hook
Loom Pick
Darning Needle
Scissors

DIY Knit Pumpkins Instructions:
1. Use any #4 worsted yarn, any colors (colors are so much fun! Make your pumpkins match your decor!)
2. Long tails cast-on
3. Knit the number of rounds for your size of pumpkin
Mini = 15 rounds
Small = 25 rounds
Tall = 45 rounds
4. Now do the ribbing in the following pattern: There are 22 needles on the knitting machine. I'm doing 7 columns of ribbing - evenly spread around: (1 column ribbing, skip 2 columns of pearl) There will be 3 needles skipped after the last rib column.
5. Long Tail Cast off - with a darning needle pick up all the loops.
6. Close the bottom end (just like making a simple beanie hat) Make sure the tail gets threaded to the inside - DO NOT CUT THIS TAIL
7. Take Poly-Fill Stuffing and bundle it into a tight ball - Thread the poly-fill on the tail of yarn coming out of the inside of the pumpkin
8. Shape the pumpkin and close the top around your finger or thumb to keep enough room to put the stick in for the stem.
9. Put thick white glue that dries clear inside the top of the pumpkin on the poly-fill.
10. Place the stick you are using for the stem into the pumpkin and push it well into the glue.
11. Using a darning needle fasten off the tails and trim.
12. Trim off the end of the team if you made it too long.
13. Go Make MORE! These are great for all of your Fall Decor
