Vaccine depot is the lungs of our city, the biggest oxygen cylinder, which helps control the pollution. This is a holy shrine for Belgaumites, an emotion. It’s a habitat of many exotic birds and animals, a home for tons of flora and fauna, a heritage of our city.

The issues are as follows:
1. Though it was clarified long ago that no trees would be cut, recent satellite imagery and resident testimonies suggest that tree felling is rampant at this area.
2. Amphitheatre, Villages of India, Heritage Park, Aviation Gallery, Art Gallery, Raashi Mandap, Large Parking Space are few of the known projects that have commenced at depot. Once completed, thousands of people will flock to this area which will affect the ecosystem as well as the habitat of birds and animals.
3. Karnataka Government’s State Law from Health Department AKUKA 84 CGM permits making of Botanical garden/plantation of medicinal trees here.

We request Smart City Officials as well as our honourable MLA Shri @Abhay Patil sir to respect the sentiments and emotions of Belgaumites and shift these projects to some other empty areas of our city.
