Riding a cycling race of thousand kilometres or more, how do you do that? One such ultra, the ASA epic, started from the local cycling course in Amersfoort (Netherlands). The race went through the Sauerland region in Germany all the way back to Amersfoort. I asked participants for some tips. Not just for me, but for my teammate Johan who was planning to finish this race in just a couple of days.
In this video I ask participants for tips for beginner Ultra riders who think bikepacking isn't extreme enough. You will also hear the story of Johan about his experiences during the event.
