We recently held a program in collaboration with Atlas Obscura Society of Los Angeles at renowned pigeon geneticist and breeder Drew Lobenstein's lofts. The participants were exposed to a one of a kind tour where they experienced how over 300 varieties of fancy pigeon breeds were created from the typical street pigeon, through genetic research and selective breeding. The enthusiasm of the participants and the expressions on their faces were remarkable.
