Which Rep Fitness power/squat rack/cage is more suitable for your home gym?


On this video I compare the two of the best squat racks available in the garage gym space, the PR-4000 and the PR-5000 by Rep Fitness. Whilst both look very similar, we go over where they differ, where they're similar and why you would want one or the other.


Similarities:
3x3 11gauge steel
available depths are 30" & 41"
available heights are 80" & 93"
Identical accessories are available, but not cross compatible

Base Price PR-4000 93" height & 30" depth - 640 + shipping
Base Price PR-5000 93" height & 30" depth - 906 + shipping



PR-4000 uses 5/8"s bolts
PR-5000 uses 1" bolts



PR-4000 weight rated to 1000lbs.
PR-5000 weight rated to 1500lbs



Different hole spacing configurations.
PR-4000 has Westside 1" spacing. But 4" spacing on left/right sides
PR-5000 has 2" hole spacing on all 4 sides

PR-4000 only has ever 5 hole numbered
PR-5000 has every hole numbered.


Different size options

PR-4000 has the shorter 24" depth available
PR-5000 has extra height option of 100"
PR-5000 accessories are slightly more expensive, around 10-30 depending on the item.
