During this uncertain time, we have temporarily suspended our in-person programming and are delivering online classes and streamed performances. This lets us continue bringing you great jazz, but income from these virtual activities isn't enough to pay the bills – we need additional support from our community.

Donations for the Wednesday live streams go directly to the artists, who badly need the support. For the Friday "From the Archives" streams, please consider a donation to NJW to support the work that goes into curating, editing, and streaming these videos so we can continue to offer them to you!

Duffy Jackson is a legend of jazz drumming, and has powered some of the all time great big bands, including those of Count Basie, Artie Shaw, Lionel Hampton, and Illinois Jacquet. The son of legendary bassist Chubby Jackson, he has played with the legends of the music his entire life. There are very few people alive who can swing a band like Duffy can, and we are not only lucky enough to have him in Nashville, but he led his own big band that performed regularly in the Jazz Cave. The band included many of Nashville’s finest musicians, and this performance from 2012 also featured NJW founders Lori Mechem and Roger Spencer in the rhythm section!
