Wild Whale Workshop in the Azores 2011 with Dr Ingrid N. Visser http://www.orcaresearch.org & Marine Biologist Robert Marc Lehmann    / wildlifeobservation  .

Learning - Understanding - Experiencing.

A workshop with lectures, boat trips for cetacean (whales & dolphins) watching, research trips and swimming with dolphins. During the workshop our students learnt to identify the different species of cetaceans, about their biology and their behaviours. We used a hydrophone to listen http://www.aquarianaudio.com to listen to the sound of sperm whales and dolphin. We had the chance to take lots of spectacular photos and enjoy time on the water.
Our classroom sessions involved interactive skills, fun learning opportunities and chances to discover more about these amazing animals. These were followed by hands-on experiences out on the water, putting our skills to use.

Thanks to all the participants of the course in 2011: Antonia K, Carsten M, Joachim G, Martina A, Regina G, Ruth M & Ulla L.
