In Dan's teen years, he was afraid to fail. This fear led him to quit sports he enjoyed, and not try in school. A quote by Theodore Roosevelt, however, sent his life on a new trajectory. Dan embraces failure now, including trying something completely new at the end of the talk: stand-up comedy. Dan lives in the beautiful Northwoods of Wisconsin and works as assistant news director and evening anchor for WJFW Newswatch 12.
