Currently tribal governments, Indigenous peoples and citizens of the United States are advocating to defend the 2001 Alaska Roadless Rule, an administrative rule that protects almost 10 million acres of the world's largest intact old growth temperate rainforest from harmful natural resource extraction.

The public comment period for the 2001 Alaska Roadless Rule is open from November 23, 2021 - January 24, 2022.
