In the autumn of 1989 ITV relaunched itself with a new generic logo and a greater feeling of network unity. To herald this, a new ident and jingle was commissioned with musician David Dundas coming up with 'Get Ready for ITV', a sound-bite of which was used for the idents that ran across the network for several years in various forms. Some of the 15 franchises refused to adopt the generic ident. Here's the trailer featuring many of ITV's programmes and stars urging us to 'Get Ready'.
