Visited the birth place of Chandidas, the first humanitarian poet of India who phenomenally wrote, sung and promoted Padabali in Bengal as well as the world. There are so many myths still prevailing in this little village of Nanoor in Birbhum, West Bengal. The stories wander through the love of Chandidas and Rami, age old terracota temples, Rajokinir ghat and pond and many more which would take you to the times almost forgotten. There are debates among historians and many sources that Chandidas are four persons. Out of them Baru Chandidas is the most accepted one besides Dwij Chandidas, Deen Chandidas and Chandidas. Few Sources say that Baru Chandidas born in Chhatna, Bankura and according to others, it is Nanoor, Birbhum. There are so many myths and beliefs prevailing in Bengal. But above all these debates the works of Chandidas finally wins.
