One of the fun parts about traveling around the Nicoya Peninsula is how rough it still is. Although it’s a popular tourist destination, it’s still a very remote area and a lot of the roads are still dirt and mud. Traveling from Santa Teresa to Montezuma on a motorcycle was an adventure in itself. We travelled through little villages and across multiple rivers and streams to get to the town of Montezuma. Near the town is a short hike to the Montezuma Waterfall, which was a great place to relax and swim at.
