Tilt and slide door repairs. Over the past few years a lot of new build high-rise properties in London have been fitted with sliding balcony doors. A lot of these new types of sliding doors tend to be Tilt and Slide doors.

These sliding glass doors have complexed opening and shutting mechanisms. Typically the handles can be turned into three positions. Position one is the locked position. When the handle is turned into the second position the door then tilts open inwards from above but stays in the closed position for ventilation only. And finally when the handle is turned all the way the door is then pulled inwards to then slide along and fully open. The majority of Tilt and Slide doors fitted in the UK are manufactured by German companies. The most popular ones being GU, Hautau, Siegenia and Schuco.
