The carillon in the town hall of Tartu in Estonia can play now hundreds if not thousands of tunes however this one Northland by Ülo Vinter who died in 2000 is sung at huge outdoor concerts.

The song is known by most of the population of the country who brought about the 'singing revolution' in Estonia that gave the country its independence in 1991. Sung almost as a hymn and by a choir of tens of thousands its a very moving tune indeed!
