Last summer, the Ukrainian Defense Forces liberated the village of Klishchiivka on the southern flank of Bakhmut.
Nearby, the Horlivka-Bachmut highway runs, serving as a supply route for the occupiers.

Heavy fighting for this settlement continues. Russian occupiers are attempting to regain lost positions, employing all available firepower from aviation to mortars and grenade launchers.

Battle for Klishchiivka continued in the fall of 2023. The enemy's tactics, the importance of communication during active combat, the mood and morale of its defenders before the advance, and what Ukrainian infantry soldiers desire the most – all of this was shared by the fighters of the Rapid Response Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine – "Rubizh", participating in the clashes on the Bakhmut direction.
