Arvind Gupta, scientist toymaker, received Padma Shri award 2018 in Literature and Education (affordable education) for inspiring students to learn science from toys made from trash. Arvind Gupta has made 6200 short films on toy-making and also has hosted DD show 'Tarang' in 1980s. IIT Kanpur alumnus's TED talk "Turning Trash into Toys for Learning" is among top 10 globally.
