First, let's start with the difference between the audit agenda and the audit schedule.

The agenda is the sequence of processes that will be audited for a specific audit. The auditor, the auditee, the scope of the audit, the audit criteria, and the specific dates and times of the audit.

The schedule is your plan for audits over the course of a year or longer. Which audits, who are the auditors assigned, and what is the scope of each audit.

When you are creating an audit schedule you need to consider six key elements:
1. What were the results of previous audits?
2. Which processes are the most important to audit?
3. Who should conduct your internal audit?
4. How long should your internal audit be?
5. Should you conduct one full quality system audit or several audits?
6. Is a remote audit good enough?
