We arrived in Alsace! The region of France bordering Germany has much of the neighboring country, which it has been a part of at various times in history. On our visit to Strasbourg, the capital of the region, we passed an open market, tasted the traditional kougelhopf cake and ended the tour by tasting one of the dishes that became the city's icon: sauerkraut with fish from Maison Kammerzell.
